AGI programs are delivered in partnership with highly regarded PADI professional centre Gold Coast Dive Adventures.

During the course you will develop skills to:
- Lead and guide snorkelling, SCUBA and outdoor activities.
- Learn techniques to demonstrate skills to activity participants.
- Manage groups in SCUBA and snorkel environments.
- First aid, water rescue and response to emergency situations.
- Navigation, communication and weather interpretation.
- Work health and safety, hazard identification and controlling risks for outdoor activities.
- Minimise environmental impact.
- Manage and maintain equipment logistics of outdoor operations.
- Providing quality service.
This is a fun, challenging and exciting qualification that will help you gain the knowledge and skills to take from first steps to big steps as an industry professional opening a world of adventure, exploration and employment around the world.

duration and cost
Course duration is 46 weeks including 40 weeks of training ( 4 terms of 10 weeks) and 6 weeks holidays ( unlimited working periods). The course duration may vary upon learners’ prior experience, knowledge, and abilities. Please refer to our brochure for course fees.

Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
- Age: Be 18 years of age or over. Interview: On-campus or phone/Skype interview before enrolment to determine course suitability (English level appropriateness, interests, intentions), identify relevant electives, costs, RPL and elective pre-requisites.
- English proficiency: IELTS Academic or General English score of 6.0 or above with no band score below 5.5 or attainment of Advanced English proficiency from a recognised ELICOS provider or completion of year 10 (Australia) or equivalent (New Zealand, USA, UK, Canada) All tests to be no more than 2 years old, must supply evidence acceptable to AGI. Alternatively or in addition students may be asked to satisfactorily complete our AGI English entrance test or demonstrate English in AGI interview.
- Previous activity experience and interest: Experience in recreational, sport or fitness activities preferred but not essential in. Demonstrated in interview, references, resume and copies licenses (e.g., recreation, sport, health and fitness, SCUBA licenses or participation, swimming)
- SCUBA stream: Swimming ability is required (200m, plus tread water for 10 mins), plus a pre- SCUBA questionnaire to be completed, based on answers a medical may be required at your expense, medical is required before commencing Dive Master program (student cost).
- Note: Students can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning or Direct Credit. This may reduce the course time. See website or contact AGI for details.

- With this program you get formal qualification recognized worldwide, you get PADI diver certifications to dive leadership level which combined really open a world of opportunity that PADI certification alone cannot provide!
- Your Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation has 22 units of study, each comprising of a different area of skill and knowledge development providing building blocks towards a great personal achievement, satisfaction and opportunity. - The program includes SCUBA gear for up to 8 weeks, students are expected to have their own equipment to look and be a dive professional to guide dive activities, students are offered special rates to purchase equipment.
